Lucie began her nursing studies at Middlesex University in London in the 1990’s and has 20 years experience in Nursing and the Healthcare and Homecare sectors both in the UK and Ireland.
She took a 6 year break from the healthcare industry to join British Airways as Long Haul Cabin Crew, which enhanced her Customer Service and Communication skills. With Lucie’s strong passions for Care in the Community, Choice, Safeguarding and Mental Health, Lucie established THE HomeShare in 2017. Lucie has worked tirelessly to promote Homeshare in Ireland and was proud when the Irish Government was the first Government in the World to include Homeshare into policy.
Lucie is also a board member of the Irish Social Enterprise Network (ISEN) and is passionate about Social Enterprises and supporting those in the sector

Upon completing her Bachelor of Business (Honours), Niamh managed a Homecare Agency within the Private Homecare sector where she developed a strong understanding of the importance of maintaining independence as we age, the need for adequate supports, and how detrimental isolation can be to our older persons. More recently Niamh undertook the role of Assistant to the Director of Nursing for an independent voluntary organisation that provides health and social care services. Here, Niamh honed her communication and organisational skills while ensuring that safe staffing levels were maintained during the onset of Covid across the campus’ 12 units. Niamh joined THE HomeShare in October 2020. Her passion is People! – advocating, supporting, and promoting independent living in the safest possible manner. Niamh is enthusiastic about continual professional development and has undertaken courses covering many topics including, Safeguarding Vulnerable Children and Adults, Dementia awareness, Law, and Marketing.

Following a successful exit from his relocation and immigration business in 2017, Mark now works as
an independent business consultant across various sectors.
An electrical engineer by profession, Mark spent the early part of his career in various technical
roles, working on software development projects in the process control industry. Moving to the
telecommunications sector, he took on roles including team leadership, project management,
process development and supplier management.
Throughout his career, Mark has travelled widely for work which included several ex-pat
assignments. In 2006 he sought to develop his entrepreneurial skills and transferred his knowledge and experience of multi-national companies operating globally, to the provision of relocation and
immigration services on an Ireland-wide basis. During this period, his responsibilities and experience were wide ranging – from business development and financial management to human resources and training, and from IT infrastructure to quality management and industry certification.

Amy Corcoran

I have almost 10 years’ experience in Care of the Older Person and specifically dementia care. I have been Homesharing myself with a wonderful lady in Cork City since Summer 2020. This has provided me with an in-depth understanding of what is important when supporting people to choose suitable Homesharers as well as the experience to support people with their Homeshare arrangement. I am delighted to represent THE HomeShare as their Consultant for Cork.

Nyomi O'Leary

Event Manager Coordinators

My name is Nyomi O’Leary. I’m an events management student in Munster Technological University. I am due to graduate in 2022. I have a passion for the event industry. I enjoy working with fellow event professionals and sharing our experience, skills and knowledge with each other. I consider myself to be friendly, creative, dedicated and ambitious.

I am volunteering currently with THE HomeShare Congress 2022. I chose to volunteer with THE HomeShare as I felt the organisation is helping the elderly and young people connect. I grew up with my grandparents and had the greatest experiences with them. My role currently within the homeshare team is sponsorship and managing social media. My role will continually change as the Congress developments and I am honoured to be a part of it.
