I am Julieta, originally from Argentina. I have a degree in Tourism & Hospitality, and I am currently studying a Higher Diploma in Digital Marketing. I have been in love with this project since the first day I came across THE HomeShare, so it's an honour being part of it.

Ciara Hegarty

Cork Homeshare Consultant

Ciara is a Senior Physiotherapist with over 20 years experience working in healthcare. She has worked in both the UK and Ireland and has specialist experience in Care of the elderly, Intellectual Disabilities and Crisis Intervention. Most of her work has been in the Community, facilitating clients to live as independently as possible and get back to baseline after admission or illness with a focus on Rehab and Falls prevention. Ciara is passionate about supporting and facilitating individuals to continue living in their own homes and giving clients and families peace of mind that they have companionship also.

Geraldine is a senior occupational therapist with over 25 years experience working in healthcare. She has worked in both the UK and Ireland and has specialist experience in care of the elderly, physical disability and mental health. Most of her work has been in the community, facilitating clients to live as independently as possible. Geraldine has seen that most people want to remain living in their own home for as long as possible but can experience loneliness and social isolation. She is passionate about supporting and facilitating individuals to live the life they choose.

I’m working as a volunteer at THE HomeShare Team. With a lot of passion, experience, and skills in Digital Design, Digital Marketing, and Web design, I’m assisting with the online presence of HomeShare. I strive to help to improve this non-profit organization to reach the goals of assisting each other with companionship. I try to make the interaction between outside parties and HomeShare smooth, friendly, and secure.

Antoinette brings her vibrant and diverse career to the Homeshare Team. After completing college, where she studied Law and Business, she ventured into the world of banking. There, she honed her skills in high-level customer service across various departments. Following many fulfilling years in banking, she took a break to focus on her family. Later, Antoinette volunteered as a parenting coach before returning to college. Her studies in Community and Social Care, followed by Applied Social Studies, ignited her passion for Social Care, with a special focus on the elderly and adults with intellectual disabilities.

For several years now, Antoinette has dedicated herself to working in various day service settings for adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Her exceptional people skills and unwavering professionalism set a high standard. Antoinette firmly believes that building trust within services and providing support for the elderly and vulnerable individuals is absolutely crucial. Her commitment to advocacy ensures that the voices of vulnerable and older individuals are always heard.

LUCIE CUNNINGHAM

FOUNDER & CEO

Lucie began her nursing studies at Middlesex University in London in the 1990’s and has 20 years experience in Nursing and the Healthcare and Homecare sectors both in the UK and Ireland.
She took a 6 year break from the healthcare industry to join British Airways as Long Haul Cabin Crew, which enhanced her Customer Service and Communication skills. With Lucie’s strong passions for Care in the Community, Choice, Safeguarding and Mental Health, Lucie established THE HomeShare in 2017. Lucie has worked tirelessly to promote Homeshare in Ireland and was proud when the Irish Government was the first Government in the World to include Homeshare into policy.
Lucie is also a board member of the Irish Social Enterprise Network (ISEN) and is passionate about Social Enterprises and supporting those in the sector
